The track and field team participated in the Early Bird Invitational at Mountain View High School last weekend.
The boys placed 6th and the girls took 8th – earning 7th place for the combined team.
Teague Andersen and Isaiah Tauai were the top point earners for the boys team. Andersen took 2nd in the discus with a throw of 150-09.50 feet and 3rd in the shot put with 51-00. Tauai placed 2nd in the 300 m hurdles in 41.40 seconds and ran the 3rd leg for the 4×200 relay team that took 5th place.

Sarah Ballard and Melia Finken scored the points for the girls team. Ballard won the 100 meter (12.31 seconds) and the 200 meter (25.73 seconds) and took 2nd in the long jump (16-05.25 feet). Finken placed 7th in the discus with a 87-04.50 foot throw.
Next up for the team are two meets at Timpanogos High School. The first is a meet with Mountain View and Timpanogos on March 24th. The second is the Alpha Invitational Meet on March 31st and April 1st.
